Urban Upbound Celebrates 16th Anniversary at Relief and Recovery Virtual Benefit
On Wednesday, October 21st at 7pm, Urban Upbound will celebrate our 16th Anniversary at our 2020 Relief and Recovery Virtual Benefit. We are very excited to announce performances by Grammy-Nominated recording artist Syleena Johnson and Hip Hop legend, Eric B.
Eric B. has long been considered one of the legendary figures in the ever-evolving world of hip hop music, his work gaining recognition in the late 80s and early 90s. Nowadays, in addition to returning to the CBS drama “Blue Bloods” as Lt. Mike Gee, Eric B. has been spending his time helping Urban Upbound’s relief and recovery efforts. Eric B has even showed up at our warehouse in Long Island City, which is the heart of our food distribution program and where we pack boxes of healthy fresh food to be delivered to over ten distribution sites all over Queens.
Grammy-nominated recording artist Syleena Johnson is a woman of many titles and talents. Singer, songwriter, author, and daytime talk show host are just a few of the avenues through which she shares her gifts with the world. As an R&B/soul songstress, Syleena Johnson was destined to touch people and impact lives. Her sultry voice, combined with her timeless beauty, classic style, and piercing delivery has made her a fan-favorite for nearly twenty years.
In addition to these amazing musical guests, Urban Upbound will be honoring some of our front-line workers for their outstanding dedication in breaking cycles of poverty as well as raffle prize segments throughout the show. Raffle e-tickets are on sale starting from October 19, 2020.
